The Film Industry Embraces Hazelwood

Post 16 Moving Image Arts students participated in three exciting filmmaking workshops.

•    Screen Grabs
Best New Irish Director Mick Duffy was impressed with the talent, skill and enthusiasm of Hazelwood students in his workshop Screengrabs. You got it! Grab the still image from the screen, play with it, edit it. A great hands on film making experience.

•    N.Ireland Screen
Northern Ireland Screen is a major player in the local film industry. It funds many of the new film projects. In another string to their bow Hazelwood Students participated in N.I. Screen’s innovative cinematography seminar.

•    Script Writers
A script writing day gave our students another angle on the whole process of film making. All the strands of editing, cinematography and scriptwriting are joined together in Moving Image Arts to make it a truly exciting and cool Post 16 Course.

Film Makers in Action
Come and visit the school. When you walk through the corridors you will see young film makers in action. Their films are being shown in festivals and winning awards. Sign up for Hazelwood and you could be signing up for the Movies.
