Community

 A Community Campus

 

It is our intention that our local community and our community of parents should have access to all of our facilities. Our campus is open three nights a week and frequently at the weekends. A range of evening classes and sports activities are offered.

Our work in this area has received international recognition. In 1999 we received the Team Harmony Award in a video linked conference with President Clinton in the White House, in 2002 we received both the NICIE Cross Community Award and the NICCI Award for cross community relations.

 Our Diversity

 

We reflect the diversity of our community and celebrate the positive attributes of all cultures and traditions. We continually seek ways to integrate students of different religions, cultural and political traditions, social backgrounds, genders,and abilities; thereby enriching the college and society.

 Our Community Development 

 

In Hazelwood Integrated College we believe the College has a valuable role to play in the wider community.We aim to be a force for reconciliation, to support lifelong learning; and to provide opportunities for community development.
