Activity trips abroad are arranged on an annual basis as are exchange programmes.

French and Spanish Trips

Last year’s Spanish trip involved nineteen Year 10 pupils and one Year 12 pupil, all studying Spanish; as well as teachers Peter and myself (Suzanne). We were away from Monday 23rd to Friday 27th October, flying from Dublin
to Murcia in southeastern Spain.

A five day trip to the historically richtown of Carcassonne whose origins go back to the dawn of time and toSète, home of ‘conchyculture’ and singer George Brassens, celebrated in Rick Stein’s popular cookery series French Odyssey.

International Exchanges

We have established links withschools in the Republic of Ireland, the U.K. and Europe, and also in the US and
the Far East. A Partnership Programme involving exchange trips and electroniccommunication links us with a school in Boston. Links have been establishedwith schools and universities inWashington DC and Seattle, New Jersey, Virginia and Seattle.

Educational

 Trips

School trips are a vital part of the life of the school. Visits to the theatre, or attendance at Belfast Festival, enhance the cultural life of the child; field trips in various subject areas give meaning to classroom learning.
